Welcome to the Virtual Landscape Studio! This tool is designed to help landscape architects, real estate professionals, and homeowners generate highly optimized, professional prompts for AI.

By using this studio, you can effortlessly transform empty lots, overgrown yards, or plain patios into stunning, photorealistic outdoor living spaces and lush gardens.

Recommended AI Platforms

While our generated prompts can technically work with various text-to-image generators, we highly recommend using advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) with vision capabilities for the best results. These models understand both your uploaded image and the complex architectural and spatial constraints in our prompts much better than traditional generators.

1. ChatGPT – Exceptional at following strict instructions, maintaining the original house architecture, and adding realistic vegetation.
2. Google Gemini – Incredible at photorealistic lighting, understanding spatial depth, and generating vibrant, realistic flora.
3. Grok – Fast and highly capable of adhering to specific creative styles and landscaping instructions.
4. Microsoft Copilot – Highly accessible and produces vivid, high-quality exterior and garden renders.

(Note: Ensure you are using a tier or setting that supports both “Vision” (image uploads) and “Image Generation”.)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Exterior Photo(s)

Take or choose a well-lit, high-resolution photo of the yard, patio, or exterior space.

• Pro Tip: Photos taken during the daytime with clear visibility of the ground and the property lines work best. If you want the AI to use specific outdoor furniture or a specific paving stone, gather those reference photos as well.

Step 2: Configure Your Settings in the Studio

Use the left-hand panel of the Prompt Studio to define your exact landscaping needs:

• Initial State: Tell the AI if the yard is currently empty dirt, if it’s overgrown and needs “clearing” first, or if it’s already maintained.
• Area Type & Function: Identify what the space currently is (e.g., Backyard), and decide if you want to completely transform its function (e.g., turning it into a “Zen Meditation Garden”).
• Design & Planting Style: Choose a landscaping style (like Mediterranean or Modern Minimalist), or opt to upload your own references. (Don’t worry, the prompt automatically forces the AI to use a diverse variety of plants, not just the examples listed!)
• Modifications: Decide if you want to change the paving/hardscape, add new features (like a pergola or fire pit), or update the fencing. (If you select “NO”, the prompt will strictly forbid the AI from altering these elements).
• Lighting & Atmosphere: Select the desired mood, from bright sunny daylight to a dramatic evening with landscape lighting.

Step 3: Copy the Generated Prompt

As you adjust the settings, the console on the right side automatically updates the system prompt. Once you are satisfied with your choices, click the “Copy Prompt” button at the bottom right.

Step 4: Paste and Generate

1. Open your chosen AI platform (ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, or Copilot).
2. Upload your exterior photo into the chat interface. (If you chose the “upload specific plants/furniture” option, upload those reference photos at the same time).
3. Paste the copied prompt into the text/chat box.
4. Hit Send/Enter!

Tips for the Best Results

• The “No Image” Warning: Our prompt includes a built-in safety feature. If you accidentally paste the prompt without attaching a photo, the AI is instructed to stop and gently warn you. Simply attach the photo and try again!
• Rich Plant Diversity: The prompt specifically tells the AI not to just copy-paste one type of plant. If you want more of a specific flower, just tell the AI in a follow-up prompt: “Add more purple lavender along the pathway.”
• Respecting the Architecture: The prompt includes “Critical Constraints” to prevent the AI from changing the facade, roofline, or windows of the house visible in the photo. If the AI accidentally alters your house, simply regenerate the response or politely remind it: “Please adhere to the strict rules and do not change the building’s facade.”
• Iterative Refinement: LLMs are conversational. If the first generated image is almost perfect but you want a different paving stone, simply reply: “Keep everything exactly the same, but change the concrete slabs to red brick herringbone.”
